Vinicius' injury shocks the Brazilian national team... Substitute Rafinha

The Brazilian national team announced that its star Vinicius Junior will not participate in Brazil's first two matches in the World Cup qualifiers next month due to an injury to his right hamstring.

The Brazilian Football Confederation confirmed Vinicius' absence on Tuesday, after Spanish club Real Madrid announced that the 23-year-old player, who was injured in Real Madrid's match against Celta Vigo, which Real Madrid won 1-0, may be absent from the field for about a month.

Rafinha will join the Brazilian squad to play two matches against Bolivia on September 8 and then against Peru four days later.
Rafinha played his last match with the Brazil national team during the World Cup in Qatar, and the 26-year-old winger scored 5 goals in 16 games with the national team.

These matches will be Fernando Diniz's first as coach of Brazil.
