Haaland leads Manchester City to their first opening win in the Premier League.
The defending champions started their career with a 3-0 win over newly promoted Burnley in the Premier League at Turf Moor on Friday.
Haaland, who scored 36 goals in the Premier League last season and 52 in total in all competitions, with City scoring a hat-trick last season, gave his side the lead after four minutes.
The Norwegian's impressive 36th-minute strike gave City a two-goal lead and dominated the game, but City's only downside in Friday's game was Kevin De Bruyne's injury, which forced him to retire in the first half . Rodri scored City's third goal from close range after 75 minutes, a difficult start for Burnley, who are returning to the top flight and are coached by former City captain Vincent Kompany.
The Burnley tragedy was compounded by substitute Anas Zrouri being sent off in added time for a brutal tackle on Kyle Walker.
